Who we are

Health and Tech Now is a sole proprietorship that does business as Health and Tech Now. "We" and "us" on this page mean that business. "You" means the person or business using the site or buying from us. By using the site or buying from us, you agree to these terms.

Where our information comes from

Our news and Data Desk products are built from public files published by CMS and other government agencies, plus public company filings. We name the source for each number. Public files can contain errors and can change after we use them. Counts we show are floors unless we say otherwise.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services or any government agency.

Nothing on the site or in our products is legal, tax, compliance, financial or medical advice. We do not recommend any plan or carrier. Talk to a qualified professional before you act on anything you read here.

If you sell Medicare plans

You are responsible for following the CMS marketing and communication rules, including 42 CFR 422.2260 to 422.2274, and any rules from the plans you contract with. Our data shows counts, not names. How you use it to reach people is your responsibility.

Subscriptions

Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you already paid for, then stops. It does not renew.

The State Desk monthly plan is month to month. You can cancel it anytime. Some other plans have a minimum term, shown next to their price on the pricing page.

Refunds

Billing errors and duplicate charges are always refunded in full.

To ask for a refund, email [email protected] from the email you used to buy. Refunds go back to the original payment method.

• Playbook and Pro. If it didn’t help you, you get a full refund within 14 days of purchase. No questions asked. One refund per customer.
• Agent Desk monthly ($99). Cancel anytime. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. If you cancel within 7 days of your first charge, you get a full refund of that first month. After that, we don’t refund partial months.
• Agent Desk yearly ($990). You get a full refund within 30 days of purchase. After 30 days, you can cancel anytime and the plan runs to the end of the paid year, with no partial refunds.
• State Desk monthly ($250). Month to month, cancel anytime. Your cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. If you cancel within 7 days of your first charge, you get a full refund of that first month. After that, we don’t refund partial months.
• State Desk yearly ($2,500). You get a full refund within 30 days of purchase. After that, the plan runs to the end of the paid year, with no partial refunds.
• Enterprise ($20,000 a year). You get a full refund if we haven’t delivered the first data package within 30 days of payment. After the first delivery, the plan runs to the end of the paid year, with no partial refunds. Any other terms are set in the signed order or invoice, and that document controls.
• Group plan and Company Tracker. These keep the 3 month minimum. If you cancel within 7 days of your first charge, you get a full refund of that first month. After that, the minimum applies. Once it’s done, you can cancel anytime, effective at the end of that billing month.
• Enterprise monthly ($2,000 a month, 6 month minimum). If you cancel within 7 days of your first charge, you get a full refund of that first month. After that, the 6 month minimum applies. Once it’s met, you can cancel anytime, effective at the end of that billing month. We don’t refund partial months. If a signed order or invoice sets different terms, that document controls.
• Business Question Brief ($750). If we can’t answer your question from public data, we tell you before we start and refund you in full. Once work has started, you can cancel for a 50% refund up until we deliver. After delivery, if the brief doesn’t answer the question you agreed on, tell us within 14 days and we’ll revise it once at no charge, or refund you in full if a revision can’t fix it.

Where a product page states a guarantee, that guarantee applies in addition to this policy, and the customer gets whichever outcome is better.

Your license

When you buy a Data Desk product, including the playbook, reports, kits, sheets and data feeds, you get a license for one buyer to use it in that buyer's own business. You may not resell it, republish it, or share it outside your business. Feed keys are for your business only. If a plan says it includes seats or a share license, that plan's terms apply to those people.

Our news stories stay ours. You can quote and link to them. Please do not copy whole stories.

Payment

Prices are in US dollars and shown on the pricing page. Stripe processes payments. Your setup arrives by email within one business day after you pay, unless the product page says otherwise.

Limitation of liability

The site and our products are provided as they are. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or lost profit damages, or for decisions you make based on our information. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we do, we change the date at the top. The terms in place when you buy apply to that purchase period.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
